The final project introduces technology for the creation of an Interactive Master Plan that promotes the integration of the often-isolated disciplines of Social Innovation, Tourism, Creative Industries and Education. With urban and rural renewal and economic revitalization in mind, the design of a digital application connects the attributes of said disciplines to a series of business models to positively ALTER neglected urban neighborhoods and environmentally-diminished rural communities. The participant, by developing the project, aims to stimulate revitalization at different scales by bringing renewed farm gardening concepts to the city and creative urban industries to the rural setting with the purpose of generating social, economic and cultural oriented-enterprises around Messina, Italy.
